Dear Residents,
Good afternoon,
We want to update you regarding your
apartment's heating issues at Number 10 Main.
We understand the frustration and
inconvenience of living in a cold apartment, especially during these extreme
weather conditions. As you know, our onsite team reached out to Memphis Light,
Gas, and Water (MLGW) and our heating contractor to assist with our building's
heating situation and shared an update with you on February 16 at 8.21pm. On
February 17 at 3.37pm, we provided updates from our contractor and learned that
the main issue with the heating system is that our boilers will not start and
continue to function due to low water pressure. The low water pressure is due
to frozen and burst water pipes at the city level. This combined cold weather and low water
pressure created problems for residents and businesses throughout the greater
Memphis area.
While this is a situation we
cannot proactively remedy, we are actively working to source space heaters to
assist residents during this cold weather. We are also offering to pay for
hotel stays within the city limits (up to $123 per night per the US Federal
Guidelines) until MLGW can get the city's water main lines repaired. You can
also stay updated on the city's progress by visiting MLGW's website here.
We apologize for the
inconvenience this has caused, and we can assure you that we are closely
monitoring the status updates with MLGW to remedy the situation in our
building. We will continue to keep
residents updated through direct messages on our resident communication
platform - Mobile Doorman and our website. In
the meantime, if there's anything else we can do to assist you during this
state-wide weather condition, please let us know.
Thank you for being a resident at Number 10 Main.
Sincerely,
Brandon Kessinger, COO
